Miranda Cranford – Associate Manager
I grew up in San Diego, and played travelball for California Desperados, So Cal Breakers and San Diego PowerSurge. She had a fantastic experience playing at Escondido High School under coach Cary Weiler. During her senior year at EHS we finished 29-1 as a team, and as a pitcher faced 110 batters while striking out 76 of them and earning a 0.67 ERA. She was named 1st team All-League and nominated to All-State team. She was a scholarship athlete for George Mason University (D1) softball team in Fairfax, Va. During her freshman season at Mason, she started 41 games and pitched in 24 of them. I earned “CAA rookie of the week” honors as well as named second team All-CAA. Throughout my sophomore, junior and senior years, I earned ” CAA pitcher of the week” honors as well as led my team in ERA in my last two years. Between my sophomore and junior years, I returned home and served as an assistant coach for the 18Gold San Diego Power Surge team under Fred Sanders. After finishing my softball career at George Mason University I moved back to San Diego. In addition to travelball coaching I’m a small business owner, and Certified Pitching Instructor. I love this wonderful game of softball so much I still compete in a Women’s 20+ FastPitch League, and received the League MVP Award this past season.
